A BUSINESS EMPOWERED

As told by Mrs. Adongo Farida Molly, a business woman who deals in supply of Goats to different Butcheries in Soroti municipality, and a member of ASIANUT WOMEN GROUP; ‘’I started this business five years ago after when I noticed that there was high demand for goats meet in different restaurants within Soroti municipality my main challenge was lack of enough capital to help me run this business well; but after I had registered with LANTERNS MICROFINANCE LTD through ASIANUT WOMENS’ GROUP; I managed to get a business loan to help me supply more goats. I bought these goats cheaply at only UGX 30,000 per goat from the villages and sell them highly at UGX 95,000 or even than that per goat; in a week I can supply more than 15 goats earning me an approximately weekly incomes of UGX 1,020,000 excluding the working capital. Out of this income am able to pay school fees for my children and also am able to run my business smoothly and allow me repay my loan installments as am required by the loan committees of LANTERNS MICROFINANCE LTD.’’
